Langosteria: the iconic fine-dining restaurant in Milan chooses OLEV to update the lighting <\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Restyling the lighting of a well-established restaurant can be a tricky task…<\/span><\/p>\n

Especially in a restaurant like Langosteria, a prominent presence on Milan’s fine dining scene for years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Langosteria’s dining hall, guests can enjoy exceptional dishes and live <\/span>a unique experience<\/b>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

And interior designer <\/span>Carlo Samarati<\/b> chose <\/span>OLEV <\/b>to <\/span>modernize the lighting fixtures<\/b> without disrupting the restaurant’s distinctive identity.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The restaurant didn’t have to be designed from scratch.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Langosteria is a place with its own history. Its beauty lies in the fact that it has grown over time.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The new lighting had to <\/span><\/i>preserve the atmosphere that made the restaurant so successful<\/i><\/b>.”<\/span><\/i> says Samarati.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new <\/span>OLEV<\/b>\u00a0 <\/b>Beam Master Track\u00a0 Zummy<\/b> spotlights were mounted to the ceiling through a modern magnetic 48V track system.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

From above, they <\/span>project light onto the tables making the environment warm and intimate<\/b> and fitting perfectly with the exclusive character of the restaurant.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Langosteria is only open in the evening.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We wanted to maintain and enhance <\/span><\/i>the candlelight effect<\/i><\/b> by using a <\/span><\/i>very warm light<\/i><\/b>, matching the refined atmosphere.”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The charm of a candle in the middle of the table is replicated by t<\/span>he spotlights’ tailor-made light beam<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only are the Zummy spotlights adjustable, allowing you to slide them into the ideal position…<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026but they also have <\/span>a mechanism that controls the light beam’s width<\/b> so that it can be tailored to the size of each table:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

“We designed <\/span><\/i>focused lighting on each table<\/i><\/b>, using only a few low-energy pieces.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The narrow beam of the <\/span><\/i>OLEV spotlights<\/i><\/b> is projected precisely onto the center of the table for three reasons:\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n
