OLEV's story
“Our story started in the 1970s when my father began creating wrought iron chandeliers by hand. I started working with him at the age of 16.
Then, as I grew up, I glimpsed the first LED prototypes. I was so fascinated by them that I decided to buy all the samples.
I was taking tests. I applied these strange “light emitting diodes” to my lamps. They weren't on the market yet, but I immediately understood that LEDs would be the future of light.
At the time, companies used the new LEDs only to create technical spotlights, included them in the old catalogue, together with incandescent products.

I therefore decided to focus exclusively on the creation of lamps with an elegant and original design, making the most of LED technology. In the early 2000s I began to create lamps that imitate sunlight,or that vary in intensity depending on the time of day...
In a few words, I wanted to create lighting bodies that, in addition to being beautiful, were also capable of generating well-being for humans beings.
This is how OLEV was born.”
